.CH domains can be registered online through webinterface or API.

Change of Registrant

A change of ownership can be accomplished with the TradeDomain command or webinterface and is free of charge.

Domain Renewal

As .CH domains can only be registered on a yearly basis, they cannot be renewed explicitly. To renew a .CH domain, you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to "AUTORENEW" or "RENEWONCE".

Deletion Process

.CH Domains can be deleted online through the Delete Command.

Upon deletion the domain will not be deleted instantly. The domain owner will receive an email notifying him about the fact that his domain is scheduled for deletion and it will be deleted if no further action is taken within 17 days. He will also receive the transfer code of the domain along with this email, so he may transfer the domain to another registrar.

If a domain is to be deleted instantly you have to send a deletion fax for the domain. This has to be generated with our form generator at href="http://pdf.rrpproxy.net" >http://pdf.rrpproxy.net] or href="http://www.formgenerator.net." >http://www.formgenerator.net].

Restrictions

Only a fixed number of nameservers can be given with the registration:
* none,
* 2 servers,
* 3 servers or
* 4 servers

Transfers

.CH Transfers are possible. Upon a succesful transfer the registration period is not changed.

The only thing you need to do is requesting the transfer using the webinterface or api.
