Domain Registration

.JP domains can be registered online through webinterface or API.

Change of Ownership

In order to change the registrant of an .JP domain you have to
* send us a signed .JP Ownerchange Form to +49 6332 79 18 65.
* After the change of registrant is visible in the WHOIS please assign a handle with the contact information of the new owner to the domain with the ModifyDomain command ''(Please note that the name/company name in the ownerhandle must be identical to the WHOIS data)''.

Please note that a change of ownership for a .JP domain is not free of charge.
Therefore we also require an email confirmation where you state, that you are aware of and agree with the costs.

Domain Renewal

.JP domains can not be explicitly renewed. In order to renew a .JP domain you have to set the domain renewal mode or default renewal mode to "AUTORENEW" or "RENEWONCE".

Deletion Process

.JP Domains can be deleted online through the Delete Command.

Restrictions

None. A local address in Japan is provided automatically.

Transfers

Transfer are not available at this point in time.

Restores

.JP restores are possible within 14 days after deletion. Please contact our support at support@rrpproxy.net.

Specialities

Although .JP domains can be registered for one or two years the expiration date in the WHOIS will always show an expiration date of one year in the future. This is perfectly normal.
